Hey guys,
I've been super busy since my last post and there are some super exciting things that have been happening and that are coming up! I had the opportunity to open for Joey Cape (Lagwagon, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Bad Astronaut) in Calgary, Albera on the first day of my Western Canadian tour that I did this past fall. He really liked my songs and invited me to do an album with his session recording label, One Week Records! In January I flew to San Francisco, and stayed with he and his family for a week and recorded 10 songs in his home studio. It was alot of work, and we ended up with a really amazing sounding album! I am so excited to share it with everybody, and I will be able to do exactly that very soon! At the beginning of April, 2016, the digital release will be taking place from the One Week Records website! You can cruise over and check out some of the other projects and releases here, www.oneweekrecords.com. They will be relaunching a new website, and my album will be released on the same day! It will not be available from iTunes or my website, only One Week Records. Stay tuned for an official release date!
My backing band, The Oxytocins, and I have played some very exciting shows recently as well. We had the chance to open for Elliot Brood in Fernie, BC a few weeks back, and this past weekend, we played the Canmore Winter Carnival closing ceremonies with the Joel Plaskett Emergency! Two of my favorite Canadian Artists!
Upcoming shows and tours:
Super excited be playing the JunoFest in Calgary at the Palomino on April 1st with the Oxytocins backing me up! We will be on at 7:30.
Also, in May I am heading East! Toronto area shows with Jenn Fiorentino and Chuck Coles, a stop in Quebec with One Week Records brother,Jo Bergeron, then on to the East Coast for four dates with KJ Jansen from Chixdiggit! To finish off the trip, I will be traveling back to Montreal to perform at Pouzza Fest!
I will be posting all the dates soon.
Lots more touring dates in the works for the summer and fall! Hope to see you all very soon. And get ready for some new music from yours truly at the beginning of April!!
