SETH ANDERSON BIO

Seth Anderson is a singer-songwriter whose music blends indie rock, folk, and the spirit of punk  into honest, heart-driven storytelling. Born and raised in Hartland, New Brunswick, and now based in Canmore, Alberta, Seth draws from years on the road—across towns, cities, and continents—to write songs rooted in love, loss, resilience, and hope.

With a delivery that’s both vulnerable and fierce, his sound has been compared to Steve Earle, AA Bondy, Frank Turner, and the Weakerthans. Seth's live shows are known for their emotional intensity and raw authenticity, earning him a dedicated following throughout Canada, the U.S., and Europe.

In the summer of 2023, Seth entered the studio with Lydia Loveless in Columbus, Ohio to create what will be his 5th full length album, "These Exact Days, These Peaceful Nights" which will be released October 14th, 2025.  Possibly his most precise and inspired songwriting do date. This summer he will begin releasing songs from the session, to build into the full release.

Upon preview of Seth's new material CBC Radio offered,

His 2020 full-length album We Could Be (Snappy Little Numbers), produced in collaboration with Eamon McGrath and a standout cast of Canadian musicians, captures the duality of full-band energy and stripped-down acoustic intimacy. The song “My One Belief” was featured in Kim’s Convenience, and several tracks received national airplay.

IN 2021 he relased the single, Big Red Sun, a reflective new single written during a period of personal transformation, recorded at Toronto’s Noble Street Studios with producer and friend Trevor Anderson. The result is a vibrant folk-pop track that captures the emotional weight of change and connection.

His past releases include a 2016 One Week Record with Joey Cape (Lagwagon) released by his label, later released on vinyl via the UK’s Little Rocket Records. Over the past 15+ years, Seth has toured extensively with artists like Off With Their Heads, Joey Capoe, Chris Cresswell,Jon Snodgrass (Drag the River), and KJ Jansen (Chixdiggit).
